Courtney is a California native who transplanted to Arkansas over 25 years ago. She moved to Cotter, Arkansas after retirement from government service for 15 years. She quickly discovered her love of Fly Fishing while working as the manager at the Cotter Trout Lodge where her office is located at the Natural State Fly Shop. Courtney assists with fly shop duties such as administrative duties, sales, giving knowledgeable fishing advice, provides instructional fly casting lessons, and is a fly guide in training. Courtney is currently training to be one of the few female fly fishing guides on the White River, she started training in January of 2022 with many local guides on the White River and is currently training under Kyle Luck , she hopes to promote the love of fly fishing with a diverse audience to include kiddos and women who want to learn how to fly fish. Courtney is a member of the Trout Unlimited Club #698 in Cotter Arkansas and loves to promote its conservation values. Courtney believes that Fly Fishing has given her a sense of peace and zen in her search for a prosperous life.
